By 'yourself' I did mean 'the best version of yourself' and that best version doesn't need to be what you define for him. He can define it for himself. Just because someone doesn't please you all the time doesn't mean they need to brush up on 'social cues'. Also 'yourself' doesn't mean being an insufferable prick. You don't exist to please every superfluously demanding man or woman on the internet or anywhere for that matter. I have come across people who are super charismatic and are some of the worst when you get to know them closely. I would rather have someone respectful, loyal and supportive than a charismatic player.
