Esther, even if you stay in the US and take up some job you don't like, you are not giving up your dreams. You are just delaying it slightly by a year or two max....After you have some monetary resources you can go back and pursue your passion. It is a gateway not a dead end. You are not going on the wrong path , you are taking a slight detour or a longer path. You never know because sometimes a place you do not like may give you unexpected contacts and openings.

Give it a shot. If you don't like, you always have option 2....
