I have learnt over time not to compare myself with others. As you said everyone's journey is different. Also if you are a polymath, you have your attention spread over different things. You are right, most often people are competing for mediocrity and doing the same old that everyone around them is and if you don't follow the rut, then comes the label of 'lazy'. Far from lazy we are I would say.
