I totally get you, Gayathri ....Been there, done that. It was all so pervasive that I had started stressing out simply anticipating stress after a point even when there would be no stress. Too much or too little is what annoys me too...
It is only now that I feel much better after quitting somewhere mid covid. When your sleep is screwed up, it pretty much messes up everything in your life. I went almost 2 years with very scanty sleep. Even when I would visit my shrink, I wouldn't really have anything to tell them except that I am feeling low or demotivated. The root cause would never be addressed. Demotivation is the worst of all. Now I know after listening to experts that severe depression actually shrinks the area of your brain responsible for motivation (I think the Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex). It is disturbed on an anatomical and physiological level and hence takes a plenty amount of time to recover.
