Informative article Oliver. Thanks for posting. As a viewer what mesmerizes me watching people on screen is how well they can emote something or aptly play a part to seem relatable and believable. I am not sure I would enjoy the whole movie watching spree if I knew all that was digitalized. The very fact that we have limitations and to see one surpass that is probably what makes the experience enthralling.

Take for example video games, irrespective of how advanced it has become, it does not surpass the joy of actually playing with a bunch of homies outside. People are realizing that more than ever today with increasing loneliness and higher suicide rates. The current text that Chat GPT is coming up with is in serious need of originality and being less repetitive. When a bunch of people use Chat GPT for their article, it starts seeming like they have all copied from one another. If AI does become sentient maybe it will turn more creative with time. I would really like movie makers to mention rightly as to how much of their work is AI generated. I doubt I would enjoy watching it then.

I agree to being updated though and I think a time will come when we will realize that AI probably isn't as big a threat as is made out to be and will seamlessly merge with our lives.

Pathologically curious, I say it like I see it.
