There are plenty men out there who do not like a strong independent female and will also treat her like shit if she is dependent on him for whatever reason(mostly financially). The opposite it a rarer scenario. There are emotional manipulators too. As far as dependency is concerned, going to work out of home somehow doesn't make your sacrifice more important than your wife's and vice versa if the man is a stay at home dad doing the cooking, cleaning etc. Its about mutual respect and companionship. Its needs to be a happy symbiosis. I am sure there are wonderful men who give their spouses the due respect, however there are plenty examples of those who don't.

I do agree that both sexes need each other.
