This behavior is just plain rude. People deserve a revert both in jobs and personal relations. It speaks a lot of the company culture and in the dating sphere about the person. This is very common in India. Didn't know the numbers were high in the USA too. Thought the system there was more efficient and people were more polite and responsible there.
