To change the world is to change the ones that run the world. We like to believe that it is the respective governments, but the reality is a lot deeper than that. We can try to but often there are limitations to our effort. Multiple factors have to align for one to be able to do so. Not everyone will have the same interests at heart. For some utopians your idea will be too dystopian and for dystopian it will be too utopian. There are less people wanting to change stuff for better and more people fighting for control.

Changing our own reality is easier and more realistic. Sometimes however your reality is entangled with the bigger picture, which one takes half a life time to find out. So sometimes you cannot really separate yourself from the rest of the world even if you want to. Doing so is letting others decide how to run your life. You can just hope for the right support from the relatively just people and keep your fingers crossed, do your best and hope for others to see sense. Not everyone will get this, but people on the same boat might. For the others, it will just sound preposterous.

Pathologically curious, I say it like I see it.
